The Sofia Court of Appeal decides whether to keep Ceyhan Ibryamov permanently in custody or to change his remand, NOVA reported.
He is accused of influence peddling, and according to the prosecution, he had to intercede with the Ministry of Defense in order to win public contracts.
Ibryamov was detained at the moment of receiving BGN 100,000 in marked banknotes. The money, the prosecution believes, was for buying votes. Because of the SRS used in the investigation, the court session was held behind closed doors.
