This state budget, which is proposed for 2025, and all the indicators that the official finance minister brought out, are the result of the management in the last 3 years – governance based on populist solutions. All parameters show that this is due to the lack of financial stability and clear political responsibility. Temenuzhka Petkova from GERB-SDS said this on the air of Nova TV, quoted by novini.bg
She entered into a debate with representatives of “Revival”, “We continue the change”-”Democratic Bulgaria” and “BSP – United Left” on the subject of income and the state budget.
„The expert analysis of the Ministry of Finance indicates: for 2025, 18 billion BGN expenses are expected, of which 4.4 billion BGN are for remunerations, 2.4 billion – for maintenance, 5.4 billion – for pensions. I.e. 97% of the cost structure is for salaries and pensions, she pointed out. According to her, the way goes through economic growth. “You can't keep borrowing to raise salaries and pensions.”
In her words, the financial discipline in our country during the management of GERB-SDS was at a level. “We are against tax increases. We believe that the current taxes are a prerequisite for attracting foreign investment. Incomes should only increase through economic growth. We have clearly stated what our goal is for governing the country. We are responsible, we have ruled three times, we are ready to take the responsibility now. We are against the figure of an “independent equidistant prime minister". We stand by our faces and our expertise and are ready to manage responsibly.”
„It depends on the voice of the people whether the timelessness of the last 4 years will be put to an end. We have shown over the years that we know and can govern Bulgaria in the interest of the citizens. We have led the country through severe crises, and we are ready to do so now. Key priorities for us are education, real judicial and legal reform, infrastructure projects, as well as the financial stability and economic growth of the country."
From “Revival” they think that the subject of the Eurozone is harmful for Bulgaria.
From “We continue the change”-”Democratic Bulgaria” insist that the solution lies in anti-corruption measures and an equally remote prime minister. “ GERB voted for this budget, they cannot attack it now. Political schizophrenia.”
„BSP – United Left” are of the opinion that energy is our main priority.
