Pilot of the Turkish national carrier “Turkish Airlines” (Turkish Airlines) died during a flight from Seattle to Istanbul, CNN-Turk Turkish TV reported, quoted by BTA.
Captain Ilchehin Pehlivan lost consciousness during the flight. Despite the first aid provided on board the plane, Pehlivan was not saved.
The Airbus 350 made an emergency landing in New York. The deceased pilot was 59 years old and had worked for the airline since 2007. From “Turkish Airlines” expressed their condolences to the pilot's family.
