The Executive Council of the party &ldquo ;Yes, Bulgaria” sent a signal to DANS Chairman Plamen Tonchev, Minister of Internal Affairs Atanas Ilkov and Acting Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov with the fourth list of the informal group BG Elves for vote buyers. A copy was also sent to President Rumen Radev.
The list contains 163 names of people who are believed to have repeatedly bought votes during various election campaigns, as well as a description of which party they are trading votes for now. Among them are names of Ministry of Internal Affairs officials and people with nicknames such as Zoro Banevskiya, Mitko Karatista, Mitnicharya, Vasko Bahamata, Otchto, Kiselinata, Eklera, Gosho Politskaya, Bat’ Sally et al.
The leadership of “Yes, Bulgaria” insists that the three institutions begin an urgent investigation of the exported data with the aim of possibly starting pre-trial proceedings against vote buyers. Because these are crimes against the political rights of citizens, and the scale of the phenomenon now not only threatens the normal functioning of the democratic process, but also the very constitutional foundations of the legal order, which is also a threat to national security.
The members of the Executive Board who signed the report expect the referred institutions to publicly announce in a short time what measures they have taken and what the results of the inspections have been.
