The truck accident happened on October 22 on the E-79 road between the town of Blagoevgrad and the town of Kresna. Around 5:50 p.m., a truck left the right side of the roadway, hit two trees and stopped.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police officers found the car with a running engine.
The driver, who is 57 years old from the town of Petrich, has died, according to the police.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of his death. Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted.
