The arrested Jeyhan Ibryamov will be able to take the parliamentary oath - 1

One of the new 240 is waiting for the first session of the parliament in custody. Ceyhan Ibryamov is to be sworn in as an Alliance for Rights and Freedoms MP elected by Shumen.

The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office told NOVA, quoted by FOCUS, that after announcing the names of the people's representatives from the CEC, the state prosecution will provide an opportunity for Ibryamov to take an oath if he wishes. Until then, Ibryamov was being held without immunity, as he was deposed by the speaker of the previous parliament. In the 51st Parliament, he was given a new immunity and after being sworn in, the Attorney General can ask for it again to continue the investigation against him. This time the decision must be taken by the plenary. Ibryamov's defense has not yet commented on what actions it will take.

"Immunity should start from the moment the representative of the people begins to function as such. That is, from the moment he took the oath. The SC says there is no objection to it being convened the day after the results are announced. In this sense, this period of time is obtained, in which we have their announcement by the CEC and the moment of taking the oath", said the constitutionalist Orlin Kolev.

The candidate-deputies in these elections are nearly 4,900 people. Before and during the vote on October 27, the reports received by the prosecutor's office against candidate deputies were 87. They were for different types of violations. At the moment, 4 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated for vote trading. There are no accused. In June the picture is almost identical. There are 36 reports against candidate MPs. Two pre-trial proceedings have been opened for vote buying, but no one has been charged yet.
