The crisis with the lack of water is again on the agenda and especially for the region of Pleven. Tens of thousands of people are also on duty during the day.

This was reported by "Nova TV"

One of the largest shopping centers in Northern Bulgaria is in Pleven. It employs 700 people. They are faced with the absurd situation – not being able to go to the toilet. The reason – an even more restrictive regime has been introduced for the lack of water in Pleven – from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the day there is no water. In addition, from 22.00 to 6.00 in the morning there is an imposed regime again. The problem is faced not only by commercial establishments, but also by hospitals, kindergartens, and schools.

During the hours of the regime, water in Pleven is only available in the fountain in the center, but it is not potable and circulates there all summer. In the district center and neighboring settlements, the water supply began to shut off the water during the day as well.

In the largest shopping center in Northern Bulgaria, the waterless situation turned into a disaster for a day. "We have no water. "Foreign companies want to close their sites," said manager Vladislav Monov.

The situation is already critical for kindergartens and schools. The mayor Dr. Valentin Hristov defined the situation as "tragic". According to him, people get water in tubes and containers, which is not very hygienic.

And the reason for the chronic drought in Plevensko is not only the lack of rain and water in the sources. The mayor cited data from specialists, according to which the losses are 70% of the water that moves in the network.

The local authorities are demanding an urgent high-level meeting to solve, at least partially, the problem with the lack of water in Plevensko.
