Seven protests tomorrow in Sofia, SDVR called for the use of public transport - 1

Citizens should not use their personal and official cars tomorrow , but to use mass public transport.

This is what the head of the mass events sector at the Metropolitan Directorate of Internal Affairs (SDVR), chief inspector Ivan Georgiev, said to journalists on the occasion of the seven protests declared on the territory of the Metropolitan Municipality, BTA reported.

He also called on the participants in tomorrow's protest events to refrain from anti-social acts. The law enforcement agencies will be there to protect public order and control traffic, not to discredit the protests, Georgiev pointed out.

The places where the individual protests will take place have been agreed with the Metropolitan Municipality in order not to create tension between participants with opposing views, the inspector explained. There are data on organized trips to the capital in connection with the protest events, and these buses will park in a central part of the city, as agreed by the Capital Municipality, he added.

Georgiev explained that the arrival of the participants in the protests was announced for 08:00. The necessary organization will be created, and depending on the arrival of the protesters, the movement can be stopped, appeals inspector Ivan Georgiev.

Organization has been made with the necessary number of police officers, Georgiev explained and added that the situation is dynamic and the number of law enforcement officers can be reduced or increased according to the need. When asked if there was any evidence of criminal persons attending the protests, he replied that he had such information, but he would refrain from commenting in order not to interfere with the verification process.
