"I have accepted from day one that everything is the fault of the big mayor, and all good results are the fault of opponents, district mayors". Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev said this to BNT, quoted by novini.bg.
"And the competition for chief architect is made transparent, and the budget is made from August together with all the regional mayors, with our partners, with our opponents. The same process we followed last year in terms of transparency and public discussions will be followed. It will be clear why every single thing that can be seen in this budget was included," Terziev shared.
"I don't know why these topics were brought up, but nothing has changed for me, you know what the situation is in the Municipal Council. I have never taken anyone's votes for granted. The starting point has always been what needs to be done for the city", commented the mayor of Sofia.
"For many of the things that happened, for some, like the municipal trading companies, it didn't quite work out. We have topics to work on," he shared.
"Time apart" is every single day with the choices we make. I am fighting for the interests of the city and the people of Sofia, and from there, the administration must find a way to find the necessary political support for those policies that it considers useful for the city," said Terziev.
"For this one year, we have shown results that in this toxic environment, we have managed to do many things. We will see if with "Save Sofia" we will stay together I cannot control the actions of other parties. What I can do is work transparently".
Yesterday "Save Sofia" set five conditions for PP-DB and Mayor Vasil Terziev to remain in the coalition next year. These are a transparent competition for a new chief architect, higher requirements for street cleaning and maintenance companies, the structure of the municipality, a revision of the management of GERB and the 2025 budget.
