The first political force, despite the “glamorous victory”, cannot gather a majority to support its president. He cannot organize and conduct a normal leadership conversation because he works for and with Peevski and does everything possible to maintain his levers of power. This is stated in their position by PP-DB. Here's what else the party says:
GERB are blocking the work of the National Assembly in order to keep the chief prosecutor of the “phenomenon”, as well as his chairman of the anti-corruption commission. We will not enter into any negotiations with “Revival” for managing the country.
Talks about a government with them are impossible, because our vision for Bulgaria has nothing to do with theirs – The Eurozone and Schengen have always been a top priority for us, as well as our sustainable membership in the European Union and NATO.
In the current situation, there is one possible way out so that the parliament does not remain blocked – no budget and no law to stop the election of Sarafov in January. We cannot idly watch how Glavchev continues to distribute party headquarters to “New Beginning” and with decisions of the Council of Ministers throws millions at the mayors of Peevski. A functioning parliament is needed to control these actions.
We have not forgotten how the first government of “We continue the change” and our trust in ITN is in great question, but we note that they were the first to sign the declaration of a sanitary cordon around Peevski, which is currently the greatest danger
for Bulgaria.
We are not elected in the National Assembly to "like" each other, but to fight for the priorities we believe in. Therefore, Dr. Kirilov will have our support as chairman as long as he follows the legislative priorities in the declaration and does not deviate from them. When, because of GERB and their apparently insurmountable dependence on Peevski, the state is at a dead end, “We continue the change” shows a willingness to put aside the party ego.
We withdraw Andrey Tsekov's candidacy and will vote for the oldest – not because we want to, but because we have a duty to move forward. This responsibility makes us different, and we hope that other parties will follow our example.
