Kalin Stoyanov vs. Assen Vassilev: Don't touch the Border Police employees - 1

Again, arrogance and cynicism, this time from the “great financier” Assen Vassilev, part of the party of orderlies, who unfortunately have a dislike for the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs!

So this prominent specialist, who will remain in the history of Bulgaria with a hole in the budget of 18 billion leva, set out to explain how and why the employees of the Border Police had to be laid off!

On the topic of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, notice, again a person is philosophizing who does not know the system, the way of working, and probably cannot even explain the meaning of abbreviations such as GDBOP, GDNP, GDGP and others!

This was commented on "Facebook" by the MP from the DPS-New Beginning Kalin Stoyanov.

This person clearly does not understand that despite the abolition of checks on the land borders of the Republic of Bulgaria with the member states in the Schengen area, the commitments of the Border Police colleagues do not cease! On the contrary, their responsibility is much greater!

Also, from the stupid proposal of Assen Vassilev, I understand that he does not realize the risk we are faced with as a country with an external border of the EU.

Bulgaria is obliged to implement compensatory measures to counter illegal migration and cross-border crime on internal borders even after our admission to Schengen. The thesis that the border is just a signboard, and the border police only put stamps in passports, borders on madness!

The European experience has been studied and all countries consider it a mistake to disband their structures some time ago, since now there are no trained and competent officers to restore border control.

It is important to note that currently in the border zone with Greece, on all roads, officers of the Border Police, Customs and the National Revenue Agency are deployed, who carry out checks, both randomly and based on risk analysis or acquired operational information on vehicles and persons.

This is an important tool of the state in order to prevent the displacement of the migrant flow across internal borders, as well as to counteract the trafficking of drugs, excise goods, goods with a fake trademark, etc.

On the border with Romania, until 30.06, these measures are carried out on Border checkpoints, after which the same principle as compensatory measures on the roads will be adopted. For this purpose, it is necessary to preserve the human resources of the Border Police.

Naturally, after analysis, there will be a gradual redirection of forces to the external borders. These officers are already being sent as a priority to protect the Bulgarian-Turkish border.

But it is difficult to explain this to people who have no idea about the Ministry of Internal Affairs, security services and everything related to the protection of public order.

My advice to these “specialists" is to stop practicing on the topic of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and to understand that reform does not mean replacing one person with another!!!
