A 12-year-old child was injured in a gas cylinder explosion in an apartment in Stara Zagora. According to initial information, on December 28 at 17:56, the Emergency Response Center of the Second District Administration in the city received a signal from a man. He reported that he heard an explosion from a house.
A 12-year-old boy living in the house was injured and received burns to his face and hand. He was provided with medical care at a hospital in Plovdiv and released for home treatment.
An inspection of the scene was carried out. It was established that as a result of the explosion, several doors, part of a wall and windows in the property were knocked out.
According to initial data, the explosion was caused by the explosion of a gas cylinder of the canister type. The case is continuing as part of the pre-trial investigation under the supervision of the Stara Zagora District Prosecutor's Office.
On December 27, the city police reported another incident involving a gas cylinder - stored on the balcony of the apartment where a 49-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman live. The cylinder exploded when someone tried to handle it, damaging the apartment and a car parked under the terrace.
