The chairman of the MECH political party Radostin Vassilev made harsh revelations about the ties between former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and MP Delyan Peevski in an interview with journalist Miroljuba Benatova.
"Borisov and Peevski's piggy bank is family and that's why they can't be against each other for now. But if the treasury is divided, if the financial report is divided, the separation will be inevitable," said Radostin Vassilev.
According to the MECH leader, in recent years, between 5 and 10 billion leva have been embezzled from the state budget during Borisov's administration. He categorically described the apparent tension between the two political figures as fictitious.
In the interview, Vassilev also made serious allegations about the "There is such a people" party. He spoke about a period of time when he was still part of the political formation: "Victoria Vasileva invited me one day and said, "Slavi Trifonov gave me a piece of paper with six names. Do you know any of them?" No, I haven't heard them. I said: "This is a very bad sign, it means that some names are coming from somewhere"".
Special attention in the conversation was paid to the so-called "Karadzhov's Babies" - a term that, according to Radostin Vassilev, refers to companies in the field of road construction and maintenance. "The babies are hungry for Asen Vassilev, we need money to feed them", he added, referring to the requests for funding from these companies.
