Another attack on emergency medics.
This time the case is from Vidin. A brand new ambulance was smashed and hit with a metal pipe.
It turns out that relatives of a deceased patient attacked the medical team that went to the address.
The alarm was raised shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday evening.
„We were at the address for about 2 minutes, because it is about 600 meters from the Medical Center. When we arrived, the medical staff began to provide first aid to the injured person. I was ordered to go get a stretcher so that we could transport him. When I returned, I saw that the patient had no vital signs after the resuscitation activities. Then we went down to write the “yellow sheet”, which we leave when a patient has died. Then I heard a bang and the sound of broken glass. I saw a young girl who started insulting us and using obscene words against us because we were late, not doing our job and not helping her grandfather”. This was told in ”Hello, Bulgaria” by the ambulance driver Petar Rusinov.
According to him, he called the people on duty at the ”Emergency” and asked them to file a police report because there was damage.
”When the police came, she continued to insult us. And she confirmed to the law enforcement officers that she had hit the ambulance with a metal pipe when they asked her if she had caused the damage”, he pointed out. And he is adamant that there was no delay on the part of the team.
The police announced that a pre-trial investigation has been initiated for destruction and damage to property.
