The volleys between the institutions continue for important appointments to key positions.

"I hope that the laws will not be changed because of one case. I have had delicate situations in practice as Minister of the Interior - a person who should be replaced, was not, because he did not receive a presidential decree. When an incident occurs, no one asks the president what decree he signed, but they seek answers from the Minister of Internal Affairs," said former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Emanuil Yordanov in the studio of "Denyat ON AIR".
His expectations are that a compromise solution will be found for the planned changes, and he made a proposal: "Overeating with power is extremely harmful. It seems to me that there is a compromise solution. Within a month after the proposal, if the president does not issue a decree, the Council of Ministers will have the right to propose a new candidate. Imagine what situation the president would find himself in if three candidates failed one after the other".
Yordanov called for a broad public discussion of the changes related to appointments to key positions.

"Listening to the president - there is a big bargain going on, they agreed on Tonev, he will agree on the Secretary General. Ambassadors are also involved in the whole bargain," said the former interior minister.

Lawyer Dimitar Markovski commented on Bulgaria ON AIR that the duel between the institutions is of no use to anyone.

"The vocation of these institutions is to have dialogue between them, not division and reproaches, an exchange of fist blows", said the lawyer.

However, according to him, when something is subject to public discussion, it is quickly accepted and does not come to that.

The war on the roads
Experts are of the opinion that increasing the sanctions will not have the expected preventive effect on drivers.
"Can you imagine the individual from "Konstantin Velichkov" reading the State Gazette. For people like him, a deserted road should be set aside if they want to commit suicide, to like a tree and hit it," said Yordanov.

Attorney Markovski drew attention to the ways of obtaining driver's licenses, the presentation of leaflets, which are not easy.

"They have started making and buying fake licenses from other EU countries en masse, drivers are strongly tempted to buy one because it cannot be checked by the control authorities on the day," warned Markovski.
Emanuel Yordanov called for time to be given to the changes in the laws to see if they will have an effect in the fight against road accidents.

"There are people who develop complexes while driving a car, not only a nice car, there are also those who drive a car that barely moves, the car can break down on the road, but they don't care. First, things start from upbringing in the family and school, and secondly - it is necessary to increase health culture," said Yordanov.
