We condemn the violation of Poland's airspace, which we consider unprovoked, and at the same time we express the Alliance's determination to take all necessary actions, which the treaty also implies. This was stated by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov to journalists on the occasion of the entry of Russian drones into Polish territory. The Prime Minister defined what happened as an absolutely unnecessary provocation, which does not help to calm the situation between Russia and the European Union countries on the one hand, and between Russia and NATO members on the other. More and more arguments are being given for what we in the Coalition of the Willing are uniting around - that serious guarantees for the security of Europe are needed, so that it is clear that the Union has the necessary defense readiness and the ability to thwart any attempts at provocation and aggression, noted Zhelyazkov.
In response to a question from the media, the Prime Minister stated that at the moment there is no basis for activating Article 5 of the NATO Treaty. Prime Minister Zhelyazkov also indicated that a meeting at the level of permanent representatives was held yesterday. The issue of both the assessment and coordination regarding the position of the allies in the Alliance was discussed, our position is clear, it is in agreement with the others, added Zhelyazkov and stated that at this stage there is no meeting planned at another level.
