The investment project "Vedra Land" of the pharmaceutical company "Vedra International" and the manufacturer "Tera Pharmaceutical" is worth over BGN 40,000,000. This is among the largest investment projects in the municipality of Sozopol, Tihomir Yanakiev pointed out. "At this stage, I wouldn't say that we have something of a similar scale ahead of us, but we are expecting smaller investment projects. We should note that Sozopol is focused almost entirely on the tourist business. "Investments are mainly made in places of accommodation," said the mayor of the coastal municipality.
In his words, Sozopol is a relatively large municipality with a territory of almost 500 square kilometers. "We have wonderful villages, there is still a young population there, that is, there is a workforce and conditions for other productions from the food industry, for example, or productions accompanying tourism. Unfortunately, Sozopol does not have large areas in which to set aside a full-fledged industrial zone. This would be extremely difficult to happen, it is almost impossible. These are things that should have been thought of 30 years ago", added Tikhomir Yanakiev.
