An internal investigation was ordered in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which should establish how the police acted in the case of the beaten woman in the village of Chelopech.
This was stated by the Acting Minister of Internal Affairs Atanas Ilkov for BTA in Plovdiv.
„We have commissioned an inspection to be carried out as a matter of urgency, so that it becomes clear what the colleagues' first actions were,” said Ilkov.
When asked why the law enforcement authorities did not initially take measures to arrest the 32-year-old perpetrator, the acting minister replied that the uniformed officers did not have enough information, and the victim herself refused to appear at the Regional Office to submit complaint.
„An analysis of the actions will be carried out and if there is evidence that there are inadequate ones, an inspection will be carried out accordingly and we will take measures to prevent this from happening, added the minister, specifying that the possible measures will be disciplinary.
We remind you that the prosecutor's office has started an investigation, according to which Rosa has 3 medium and 6 light injuries. According to the doctors, after the removal of the ovary, Rosa will no longer be able to have children. However, the removed organ is not taken into account.
„The absence of an ovary is not described in the examination itself, probably in the medical documentation provided to us, it was not reflected, which does not mean that it will not be reflected if requested by us,” said the district prosecutor in Sofia Natalia Nikolova.
