Harassment and fear because of a pack of stray dogs in a Varna neighborhood. Residents of the “Vladislav Varnenchik” claim that dozens of stray animals roam there and often become aggressive. They tore apart other animals, and there were also attacks on people. They say that they have filed reports, but so far they have had no result.
The pack appeared about a month ago and mainly lives in the 404 block area. According to the people of the area, the animals numbered 15 and barked loudly at night, writes Nova Television.
„The problem has been neglected for years. All these dogs were most likely domesticated – from the cottage area, where their cultivation and breeding is despicable,” emphasized Niki Dobrev, who lives in “Vladislav Varnenchik”. According to his neighbors, the pack left behind cat carcasses.
Hristina Mircheva, who is an associate at the municipal shelter in Varna, emphasized that the municipality is aware of the problem and has castrated more than 30 dogs in the area since the beginning of the year. Some animals were returned to places and others were adopted.
