Two people were detained for showing aggression towards a police officer after a traffic violation. On January 25, at around 4:15 p.m., on "Sofiisko Shose" Str., a traffic patrol stopped a car moving without its lights on for inspection. The Sofia Department of Internal Affairs and Communications announced that a ticket was drawn up for the driver's violation, which he refused to sign.
While a police officer was drawing up a report for the offender, one of the female passengers in the car attacked his colleague – she scratched his neck, pushed his badge and hat to the ground and kicked the hat.
The driver and his female companion are detained for up to 24 hours. The injured police officer was examined at the Emergency Room - Godech. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case, the investigation of which continues under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
