A 32-year-old drunk, drugged and impaired driver drove at 200 kilometers per hour and crashed on the road between Strazhitsa and Gorna Oryahovitsa .

The man posted a clip on social networks about his reckless driving.

Three serious accidents with three injuries occurred last week in the Veliko Tarnovo region.

One of them is with a 32-year-old man from the village of Kamen, who crashed the foreign car he was driving around midnight on December 6 and 7 into the fence of a factory in the village on the road to Gorna Oryahovitsa. Previously, the man had published a clip of how he was driving the car at 200 kilometers per hour.

"Responding to the crash, the team found an impaired driver. After an alcohol test, his sample was positive - 0.97 per mille, and a positive test for cannabis. In the Regional Office in Strazhitsa, a pre-trial proceeding has been initiated for hooliganism by car," Senior Inspector Pencho Hristov from the traffic police explained to BNR.

For now, no punishment has been imposed on the driver, who is in hospital after the accident.

On the occasion of the protest signatures of the people from the villages of Samovodene and Polikraishte on the main road to Ruse and of the residents of Vaglevtsi on the Pass of the Republic for the installation of stationary speed cameras as a preventive measure of protection, Hristov pointed out:

"We have taken the necessary measures by informing the General Directorate of our request that they be put in place".
