Over 53,000 sachets and tablets of sexual stimulants without documents were seized by customs officers at the Border Checkpoint (BCP) "Danube Bridge 2" near Vidin-Calafat, the "Customs" Agency reported.
On the morning of December 17, customs officers stopped a refrigerated van traveling to Western Europe for inspection. The driver - a Bulgarian citizen - provided waybills, according to which he was transporting strawberry seedlings and food supplements.
When inspecting the cargo area, customs inspectors found a pallet wrapped in black foil. After unloading it, food supplements were found in three of the boxes, and in all the other boxes - three types of sexual potency preparations. The total quantity of the identified sexual stimulants is 46,200 sachets and 6,980 tablets. Until the sender presents documents certifying the status of the shipped goods, the sexual potency preparations are detained.
A reference on the website of the “Customs“ Agency indicates that this is the first case of detention of sexual stimulants at the “Danube Bridge 2“ Vidin – Calafat border checkpoint this year.
