65 years after the publication of the erotic novel “Emanuela” and 50 after the release of its screen version, a new version is coming to the cinemas, which is different from the previous one, reported AFP, quoted by novini.bg.

The feature film is directed by Audrey Diwan and the production opens the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain. From next week, the film opens in cinemas in France. This is the third film of Audrey Diwan, who won the “Golden Lion” in Venice in 2021 for “The Event”.
The film “Emanuela“ from 1974 by director Just Jacqueline attracts 50 million viewers worldwide. According to Camille Moreau, author of the biographical book on the life of the writer Emmanuelle Arsanne, Arsanne did not like the film version. The author of the novel had another vision for her work, quite different from the commercial success of the film.
