The longest flag in Bulgaria with a length of 808 meters was stretched yesterday along the entire length of the fortress "Ovech" in the city of Provadia, writes Varna24.bg.
The previous record holder was 740 meters. The initiator of the event is the Bulgarian folk dance club "Nastroenie". from the city of Varna, headed by Darina Kirilova, who is from Provadia.
The reason for the event is the 8th birthday of the dance club.
The flag was sewn by only two women and the work lasted about a month.
After the record, the flag will be cut, the fabric will be sewn into flags that will be donated to community centers, town halls, theaters, etc.
