This is the DPS clock. Thanks to us, the DPS clock is now ticking down and counting down to the end of time. With these words, the co-chairman of the PF Valery Simeonov ended his last speech before the 43rd parliament. In the declaration on behalf of the Patriotic Front, Valery Simeonov said that the most important task of the PF was to limit the influence of the DPS and other parties by excluding them from the government. "Never again will DPS be the balancer in the National Assembly." The second task that we managed to realize is limiting the influence of Turkey on the internal political life of Bulgaria, we limited the number of sections in Turkey by nearly four times, Simeonov also said and reiterated that the DPS will never again be a balancer in the National Assembly.
How is the DPS clock running today
From 2017 to today, many things happened in the country on the political scene. PF is gone, but there is “Revival“, ITN, “We continue the change“, “Greatness“ etc. A lot of gossip, a lot of elections, a lot of talking and little doing of politics. But the theme of the last days – absolutely surprising for a very heavily encapsulated party, is DPS. Of course, the role of Delyan Peevski in it. Co-chairman by statute, and chairman by words, as he himself said. When the word chairman is discussed in the DPS, its meaning somehow changes. In DPS, the chairman is one! Already honorable, given all he has done - and he is Ahmed Dogan. Peevski denies any conflict with Dogan, and the honorable first is silent. But he is like that – flourishes, tries to speak deliberately (to hear one thing and understand another), distanced from the people (including the electorate already), but wrapped in a halo.
Pred FAKTI professor Milena Stefanova said that „… without Peevski Dogan is finished, and without Dogan Peevski is nobody“. That's right – both are jumped vessels. At least one is a product of the other.
What is the problem of DPS
DPS under the Tsar and the Triple Coalition was part of the system. But things didn't turn out the way they wanted. They tried to impose the political-corporate management style, but Sergey Stanishev did not dare to be part of the “big game”. And it went down. Boyko Borisov turned out not to be like that. And in this game of the “big game” Delyan Peevski's star rose. And so, for years, Peevski amassed wealth, and Borisov ruled. And today, Peevski is already co-chairman of the DPS. And according to him, he is the chairman – it's obviously a matter of perspective. Until now, DPS had lifetime deputies, and Peevski said that there is a new beginning. And apparently hit some of the lifers through the hands. They did not like this, and they immediately turned to the honorable, to him, to the chief. And now Dogan will judge fairly. In the name of DPS, in the name of Bulgaria, etc. If we assume that a solution will be found for the economic issues, Dogan holds a trump card that Peevski cannot even dream of – the ethnic self-determination of Bulgarians with Turkish self-awareness. We have always heard Dogan say that DPS is the basis of ethnic peace in Bulgaria, that we are all Bulgarians, and from Mustafa Karadai we heard how Bulgaria is a homeland. etc. The ethnic issue for Peevski in the DPS is foreign to him, because he subsequently became part of the DPS. And for Dogan, the ethnic issue is fundamental. And against this trump of Dogan there is no way to draw a counter trump. This is Dogan's insurmountable advantage. If the contradictions in the DPS become so insurmountable, and Dogan decides to save his party, he can do it easily. Playing with the ethnic issue will not be an easy task, because things will go beyond the framework of the DPS, and the issue is more than a state one for Bulgaria. It's extreme, it's very dangerous, but it's not impossible. He shared the same thoughts with Lili Marinkova in the “Facts“ studio. and the show “Conversation“ Arman Babikian.
Time on the clock
Currently the time in the DPS clock shows “12 without 5“ – aha and will ring the cuckoo bell. (NB - don't look at this on Valery Simeonov's photo, there the clock was moving backwards) Even if we assume that the DPS clock has stopped – albeit temporarily, certainly twice a day it shows the correct time. Is it Ahmed Dogan's, or is it Delyan Peevski's… Only “the new beginning” in DPS will show.
