December 22, 1989 is a key date for democracy in Bulgaria, because it is the second most important after November 10. On December 22, the historical beginning was laid for the construction of our civil society – a strategic institute after the multi-party system for the democratic structure of Bulgaria.

Because on December 22, 1989, at the Sofia University “St. Cl. Ohridski“ The Committee for National Reconciliation is established.

On December 22, 1989, the political prisoner of totalitarianism Medi Doganov was released and citizen Ahmed Dogan went to the Sofia University to the meeting of the Committee for National Reconciliation. This story is not simply sentimental. Because history and politics are not facts and dates - history and politics are the personalities, the subjects of facts and dates. There, at the Sofia University, Ahmed Dogan was invited to the podium as Medi Doganov and did not take the floor, of course. Medi Doganov remained in the annals of the communist prison. The man Ahmed Dogan did not stand on the podium because he did not blame the people of his homeland Bulgaria. Because the philosopher Dogan knows that people and power are different categories - two pillars of the state. The people elect and delegate power.

Ahmed Dogan attended the meeting of the Committee for National Reconciliation, firstly to designate with himself and with his silence the hollow emblem of this Committee, and to expose it as a poster manifestation of the new form of a guilty conscience and an attempt to cover up with the mimicry of pretense and falsehood towards the other, with whom we are one people, the satanic renaming of the ethnic Turks. Ahmed Dogan's sign is a code for democracy in Bulgaria! The man Ahmed Dogan is still the master of silence about these wounds and this pain. However, other politicians and democrats did not pay attention to this silence. They played poker with this silence of Dogan, because they missed his philosophical education and conducted politics and exercised power with words, in words and without thinking and considering.

Immersed in the mystery of his philosophical silence, the solidarity of others as a name and faith, united with heavy pain, inspired by the power of this shared intimacy of human capital, Ahmed Dogan invested the political resources of the MRF in the European modernization of Bulgaria during Kostov's mandate, for example, with support for the NATO corridor for Kosovo and again with this strategic democratic power resource of the MRF, he predicted and realized Bulgaria's membership in NATO and the EU. Note the investments of the MRF, led by its creator - otherwise philosophically silent and precisely for this reason strategically European-sighted politician Ahmed Dogan, in “creating a consolidated democracy in the country“, as Ivan Kostov puts it in his interview with DW.

Today, 35 years later, on the same date, the power parasite Peevski encroaches not only on the MRF party, but encroaches on civil society, by stealing the foundations of the party – painfully destroying the solidarity of a human intimacy. Peevski divides and kidnaps and forces party members, activists and structures – through arbitrariness, with administrative and power grips, but not norms.

A painful irony and a criminally arrogant ambition – “A New Beginning“. After the DPS, through the DPS, on the DPS, at the expense of the DPS, instead of the DPS.

Without being either a general or a marshal, Ahmed Dogan and the DPS he created are a resource whose political capital can be reduced to the symbolic No pasarán or On ne passe pas! – „They will not pass!“.

Bulgaria needs its political center in the coordinate system of democracy and the ambivalent appetite of the DP to lead a new beginning, without party coordinates, cannot cross this Rubicon.
