Grigor Dimitrov will start his participation in the ATP 250 tournament in Stockholm on Thursday, the last possible day for the matches of the second round, BNR reported.< /p>
The most successful Bulgarian tennis player is ranked #3 and rests at the start.. In the second round, he will play the winner of the match between Contan Alice (France) and Sumit Nagal (India). Their match is one of three first-round matches to be played on Wednesday.
This means that Dimitrov would play every single day until the end of the week if he were to progress in the tournament in the Swedish capital.
Stockholm is one of Grigor's favorite tournaments, being the only one where he has reached three finals. It was here that he won his first ATP title in 2013 after defeating David Ferrer in the trophy match. Grigor also lost the finals in 2014 and 2017 to Tomas Berdych and Juan Martin del Potro, respectively.
The Bulgarian is already in Stockholm, and on Monday he held his first training session in the "Kungliga Tennishallen" hall.
