The new product from Xiaomi is a pocket photo printer released under the Mijia brand. The new Mijia Pocket Photo Printer 1S includes a built-in set of photo styling tools, and the main feature of the gadget is the support for augmented reality photos and videos.
According to the company, the mini printer includes frames in different styles and eight filters. The Mijia Pocket Photo Printer 1S connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth. ZINK photo paper with an adhesive base and inkless image printing technology is used for printing.
The AR photo feature allows the user to upload a video to the corresponding mobile app, select the most successful clip, and then print it. When you point your smartphone camera at a photo, it will “come to life”. To achieve this, the printer supports downloading video up to 16 seconds long and audio up to 60 seconds long. You can upload up to 100 “live“ photos in your account.
Xiaomi Mijia Pocket Photo Printer 1S costs only $55, which at the current exchange rate equals approximately BGN 100. And one sheet of paper needed for one photo will cost about 30 cents or 55 cents. There is no information yet on the worldwide release of the printer.
