Luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari officially started accepting Bitcoin as a payment method for its models a long time ago, but only now has the first transaction been made.
This innovative approach by the company allows customers to use cryptocurrency to purchase cars directly in showrooms. The first buyer to take advantage of this opportunity was Max Bunin, CEO of B2C2.
Bunin bought a Ferrari with Bitcoin and shared the news on his X account. In his post, he jokingly noted: “It turns out I'm the first Euro-poor person to ever buy a new Ferrari directly in Bitcoin."
Ferrari's move is part of the growing integration of cryptocurrencies into the premium goods segment, opening up new opportunities for customers around the world.
