In the summer of 2022, Bentley assembled the last example of the canonical V8 6¾, and now, two years after -later the British said goodbye to another epoch-making unit - the six-liter W-shaped 12-cylinder engine.
The last Bentayga, Continental GT and Flying Spur equipped with this engine will be designated as the Speed theyГѓВёГўВОСТАЦІ12 12 equipped with this engine and will mark the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the brand. The W12 will be replaced by an all-new engine.
This is the Ultra Performance with a Hybrid setup that produces 782 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. The new Continental GT Speed and the flagship Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid have already received this hybrid system.
The same powertrain will also get the updated Flying Spur. It is based on the biturbo V8 4.0 engine with a power of 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. During sharp accelerations from a standstill and in the middle rev range, it is assisted by an electric motor integrated in the gearbox (190 hp, 450 Nm).
The electric motor receives energy from a traction battery with a capacity of 25.9 kilowatt hours. All this has a positive effect not only on dynamics, but also on harmful emissions, which amount to only 50 grams of carbon dioxide per hundred kilometers.
