First we have to let's look at how it happened to create a party like "SWORD" and for her to enter the parliament. It begins with the protests in 2020. These people who will now be MPs are all participants in these protests. They were in one parliament, but very briefly, in "There is such a people". We left together.
In fact, we stuck to what we claimed in the square, that we want a Bulgaria without Borisov, Peevski and Geshev. In today's reading, Geshev was replaced by the current Acting Attorney General. The others who were with us in the squares began to make concessions. Some say - maybe with Borisov, but not with Peevski. The others became completely silent. Others began to say that it is very important to have a government - it doesn't matter what it is. And in fact we remained the ones who were true to what we claimed in the square and what we then claimed as part of the ITN - and that's why we became a part from "There is such a people". We are against corruption - and the images of corruption that these people create. We have not moved one iota from what we claimed in 2020, then 2021, 2022, several national assemblies. The truth is that the people with whom we entered the parliament together and tried to do something gradually changed, for one reason or another. Sometimes it seemed to me that the reason was unknown, sometimes it became clear what it was. They gave up on what they had promised the people.
Prof. Nikolay Radulov from the MECH party, elected deputy from the Varna region, said this in the FACTS studio to Lili Marinkova. He continued with the analysis of political events in the country as follows:
Constitutional amendments are the end result of a desire to make a party so unmovable. That is, with a few tricks, Hristo Ivanov and the people around him managed, in other words and in another place, to return Article 1 again - you know, it was about the leadership role of the Communist Party. It is not called the Communist Party now. But both this party, which is in the first place, and the one in the second place, are descendants of the communist parties. And no matter how much they disguise themselves and speak against it, their roots betray them.
When you limit the choice of ministerial ministers to persons appointed by this party, and by this party alone, you create extreme comfort for the one who appointed them and the one who staffed them. I do not think that Hristo Ivanov was not aware of this. I don't know what he was thinking. As for Kiril Petkov, I can believe that he showed some naivety, because he turned out to be, if not stupid, then a naive person. It was obvious to the naked eye that, after he had chosen these people, they will always work for him. Because many secrets and many details are intertwined there. So that Article 1 exists. What's more, these people, within the framework of a few years of management associated with great turmoil, managed to do what the leaders of the communist parties, of the security services dreamed of for their children - to put them in key positions. And probably develop them further in politics. I am talking about the mayor of Sofia.
