The head of the Russian republic of Udmurtia, Alexander Brechalov, reported that Ukrainian drones had damaged a facility in the region, Reuters reported.
"A facility in the republic of Udmurtia was attacked with drones. "As a result, there is damage and injuries," Brechalov said in a video message posted on his Telegram channel, stressing that all victims were receiving the necessary assistance.
He did not give further details about the attack, but urged residents not to panic or spread unconfirmed information.
The airport in the city of Izhevsk, the capital of the Udmurt Republic, and cities in neighboring regions have suspended operations, Russia's civil aviation agency, Rosaviatsia, said.
Unofficial Ukrainian military bloggers reported that Ukrainian forces had attacked a factory producing missiles, including short-range Iskander-M ballistic missiles. and Topol-M intercontinental ballistic missiles, in the city of Votkinsk in the Udmurt Republic, about 1,400 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
Websites published footage of what they said was the attack on the facility, including a video showing a large column of smoke rising into the sky.
The unofficial Russian Telegram channel "SHOT", which often cites security sources, reported that residents of Votkinsk heard at least three explosions, as well as the sound of approaching drones.
Russian military bloggers also reported an attack that caused a fire at a gas processing plant in the southern Samara region. Official authorities in the region have not published information about such an attack, Reuters notes.
At least three people were killed on Friday in a Russian strike on a company in Kharkiv region, northeastern Ukraine, Ukrinform reported, citing the regional Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service.
It reported on "Telegram" that two people were injured in the attack in the village of Malinovka in Chuguyevsky district.
