The Polish authorities have repeatedly have discussed with the United States the possibility of deploying nuclear weapons on the territory of the European country.
Polish President Andrzej Duda said this in an interview with the newspaper "Fact", quoted by TASS.
The President of Poland emphasized that the topic was discussed more than once. According to him, he has given his consent to the deployment of nuclear weapons on the territory of the country if necessary.
Earlier, the head of Poland's National Security Bureau, Jacek Severa, in an interview with the Rzeczpospolita newspaper, avoided answering a journalist's question about whether Warsaw would conclude an agreement with Washington to deploy nuclear weapons on its territory as part of the nuclear sharing program weapon, noting that NATO's nuclear umbrella also extends over Poland.
