The conflict in Ukraine will end "in two weeks" no Western aid to Kiev, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said while giving a lecture in the UK.
„I know how to end the war in Ukraine - just stop the supply of weapons, then Ukraine will not be able to resist, it will be forced to surrender and the war will be over,”, he noted.
Borrell also asked a rhetorical question: “Do they want this in Europe?“ He emphasized that he does not want such an outcome and “many in Europe do not want this either”.
Borrell added that disagreements in the United States over aid to Kiev and the six-month delay in supplies could turn the situation “from win to lose”.
He has repeatedly spoken in favor of continuing military support for Kiev from the West. In June last year, he also expressed fears that without outside help the conflict in Ukraine would end very quickly. In December 2023, the diplomat complained that not all EU countries see Russia as a “strategic threat”, no matter how much he tries to convince them of this.
