Vladimir Putin officially took office to thunderous applause from politicians and the military. Putin's coronation will be remembered for several messages that the Russian president sent to the West and Ukraine. OBOZ.UA summarizes what they are:
Putin's new term begins with domestic repression and demonstration exercises for the use of tactical nuclear weapons. In this way, he makes it clear that he is ready to protect his power by any means.
At the beginning of the speech, Putin "swore" to "protect rights and freedoms" of the Russians. Despite the fact that in today's Russia you can go to court even for liking a post on social networks. Putin called one of his main priorities... "protecting the people". Having already sent thousands of Russians to Ukraine, whom the command treats as cannon fodder.
The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Agent Gundyaev, expectedly blessed Putin to kill Ukrainians. To the Western countries, Putin sent another signal that “Russia does not give up dialogue with the Western countries, if they look for ways of cooperation and do not hinder the development of Russia” (read – the seizure of Ukraine).
Putin will make his first visit to China after "taking office". After that, he also left for Turkey, but the dates have not yet been specified, because Turkish President Erdogan has begun to listen more to the United States, being wary of American sanctions.
This so-called inauguration is another defeat for Putin because the main countries did not send their representatives. The few EU countries that attended were the exception rather than the rule. He is not seen as a legitimate leader, he has become very toxic and nobody wants to do business with Putin.
After swearing in the constitution with the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, Putin did everything to legitimize the results of his crimes and, accordingly, drove himself into a dead end.
Another statement by Putin deserves attention, namely the one in which he notes that he will continue to fight for a multipolar world with his allies. In practice, this means that together with China, he wants to continue to destroy the liberal world order under the leadership of the USA.
