Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he was deeply saddened by the helicopter accident of the Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi and offered all the necessary support for the search operations, reported France Press, quoted by BTA.
"We are closely monitoring the incident situation, we are in contact and coordination with the Iranian authorities and we are ready to provide all the necessary support," the Turkish head of state said in "X".
"On behalf of my country, I send my best wishes to our neighbor, friend and brother, the Iranian people and government, and I hope to receive good news from the president and his delegation as soon as possible," he added.
A Turkish foreign ministry spokesman told AFP that Iran had "requested technical support for the search". "We are currently discussing what help could be sent as soon as possible," he added.
Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Russia and the European Union have offered their help to Tehran.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan met his Iranian counterpart in Ankara on January 24. During their meeting, Ebrahim Raisi indirectly called on Erdogan to cut ties with Israel.
