At the "Black Water" nuclear power plant in Romania, a fire broke out but was quickly extinguished, according to the country's General Inspectorate for Emergencies. Authorities assured that the fire was minor and occurred far from any radioactive materials, ensuring the safety of the local population.
Employees of the plant were immediately evacuated and the incident did not cause any damage. Efforts are being made to investigate the cause of the fire to prevent future incidents. The nuclear facility continued to operate without any disruption.
A similar incident also happened in February, when a fire broke out on one of the turbines, Digi24 recalls.
