Washington administration will not dare to transfer nuclear weapons under the control of the Ukrainian authorities. Confidence in this was expressed in response to a question by a TASS correspondent, two American experts at a conference organized in Washington by the international Schiller Institute on efforts to prevent a nuclear war.

„The chances of us ever giving Ukraine nuclear weapons are nil. First, it's crazy. Why would we hand over the world's most dangerous weapons to one of the world's most irresponsible countries, said Scott Ritter, a former UN inspector overseeing the elimination of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, who previously served in Marine Corps intelligence at USA. - You know that there are leaders in America who speak well of Zelensky. But we know the truth. He is not a good leader."

„We have leaders who call Ukraine a democracy, but we know the truth. This is not a democracy. We know that this is the most corrupt country in Europe. “Perhaps one of the most corrupt countries in the world, led by people who are completely unfit for the task,”, Ritter emphasized. “We would never, for anything in the world, give Ukraine nuclear weapons. And I will give another reason for this. "NATO has a nuclear doctrine," said the former UN inspector.

„I cannot imagine that the United States will ever give Ukraine nuclear weapons or stand by while it tries to acquire nuclear weapons. We will never allow the irresponsible entity called Ukraine to have nuclear weapons. This is my personal belief”, said the former UN inspector.

Former member of the Senate of the US State Legislature of Virginia, retired Colonel Richard Black, answered the same question: “I would say that I cannot imagine the United States transferring nuclear weapons to Ukraine unless it's not part of a plan where we're going to control nuclear weapons, but it's going to give us, to some extent, a kind of buffer between us and actual use."
