The United States questions even the resolutions of the UN Security Council, so a security agreement with Ukraine is important to Washington as long as it benefits it.
This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on her Telegram channel.
„The White House said it does not know whether future US administrations will uphold the security agreement signed with Kiev,”, she wrote. “Although this “agreement” no longer has power, it is not important to the United States - it only makes sense as long as it benefits them.
Zakharova recalled that the head of the press service of the State Department Matthew Miller “extended the same principle even to the decisions of the UN Security Council, which are binding on the entire international community: “This is a non-binding resolution and I will leave it to international lawyers to speak in detail on this issue.“
„What can we say about a piece of paper signed by a drug-addicted terrorist whose legitimacy is questioned even in his own country”, wrote Zakharova. “On the other hand, the big question is which country Zelensky considers his own.“
