Philippine Foreign Ministry Urges: Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza - 1

Philippine Foreign Ministry called for the implementation of Security Council Resolution on UN for an immediate ceasefire and the release of the hostages in the Gaza Strip, reported the Philippine News Agency (FNA), quoted by BTA.

On June 10, UN Security Council Resolution 2735 was adopted by 14 votes in favor, with the Russian Federation abstaining, and proposed a comprehensive three-stage ceasefire agreement to end the war in the stripe. The measure insists both Israel and “Hamas” to fulfill it in full, without delay or conditions.

"The Philippines reiterates its call for an immediate ceasefire, the safe release of the hostages and the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. The immediate implementation of the measures is imperative to alleviate the suffering of innocent civilians caught up in hostilities," the Philippine Foreign Ministry.

The resolution is a confirmation of the international community's commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region.

"The Philippines is committed to supporting efforts to achieve a peaceful solution to the conflict in Gaza. The country is ready to contribute to initiatives that promote stability, security and peace in the region.
