The US Department of Defense contracted with the company "Lockheed Martin" (Lockheed Martin) the production of means of electronic warfare for F-16 fighters. Among the countries to which such American military aircraft will be delivered is Bulgaria, the Pentagon announced on its website, quoted by BTA.
The fixed price shall not exceed $520,400,000. At "Lockheed Martin" has been assigned the production of "sets of means of radio-electronic warfare "Viper Shield" (Viper Shield) for F-16" based on a previous contract.
Besides Bulgaria, the other countries that will receive such US military aircraft equipped with the "Viper Shield" are Slovakia, Taiwan, Bahrain and Morocco.
The contract is expected to be completed by June 30, 2028
