Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, calls Joe Biden for new televised debates, but without a moderator. The proposal was made on Trump's personal social network - Truth Social.
"I have an answer to the question of Joe Biden's competence. Let's have another debate, but this time without any rules. A comprehensive discussion, just the two of us on stage discussing the future of our country”, the Republican wrote.
Trump previously wrote that he did not believe the explanations for Biden's behavior in their first televised debate. In turn, the Democrat admitted that he "screwed up" at the event. He called on the public to appreciate what he did for the country during his tenure, not what he showed in "90 minutes on stage", as quoted by Focus.
On July 3, White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre attributed Biden's performance at the debate to a cold and fatigue. She also ruled out Biden's refusal to participate in the election, but admitted that the questions of the Americans after the speech were fair, reports Focus.
