An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale was recorded last night in the Romanian seismic region of Vranca, reported the Ziare information site, which received details from the National Institute of Geophysics, BTA reports.
The earthquake occurred just 25 minutes after midnight and occurred at a depth of 122.5 km below the surface.
Since the beginning of July, three earthquakes with a magnitude between 2 and 3.4 have been registered in the country. However, the most significant seismic event of this year occurred earlier, on January 15 in Vranca, when a stronger earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale was detected.
