Volodymyr Zelensky: We need urgent authorization to strike airfields in Russia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has emphasized in an interview with Bloomberg that there will be no effect from ATACMS tactical missile systems without permission to strike the airfields of the Russian Federation.

"If there is no change, then there is no point in using ATACMS. There is no point in them," Zelensky added. The head of state of Ukraine reminded that "the Russians have bases and military airports from which planes carrying thousands of guided aerial bombs take off.

"If we don't make it so that these planes don't stay there, if we don't get Russia to move them further into the Russian Federation and from that place they can no longer launch these bombs, but only hit with missiles... Missiles are also evil, but they are much less than these bombs. That is, if we do not force them, they will simply mock us and destroy everything we have," Zelensky emphasized.

In this regard, the president has explained how the Russians can be forced to move their military aircraft as far as possible from the borders of Ukraine. "To plant suitable weapons that will hit their military airfields. If the United States does not give the opportunity to do this, to use these weapons, there will be no effect from them", Volodymyr Zelensky is categorical.
