Ukraine has made significant progress in the fight with the Russian Black Sea Fleet, but it is too early to talk about a complete and unconditional victory while there are Russian missile carriers in the Black Sea. War veteran and public activist Oleg Simoroz told in an interview with Oboz.ua what weapons will help the VSU to get rid of them once and for all.
So, he noted that if we talk about ATAKMS, they have slightly different tasks - they are not designed to sink ships. At the same time, the Ukrainian rocket "Neptune" was developed precisely for these tasks.
"Of course, the new modern UAVs will help us here, but actually at sea they are not that effective because at sea they are easy to detect. But since the time of the cruiser "Moscow" "Maneuverable cruise missiles have proven best at sea," he said. noting that with the development of the rocket program "Neptune" Ukraine can solve these issues.
Furthermore, he noted that aircraft, particularly the F-16, are well suited for such tasks.
"This aircraft can carry a whole range of missiles, completely different - short, medium and long range, anti-ship, maneuverable, etc... If we successfully use the F-16, we go somewhere from the Odessa region to The Black Sea and there we are firing high-quality Western guided missiles - and they have missile modifications designed specifically against ships - I think we will be able to significantly weaken Russian missile carriers,", he said.
At the same time, it will not be easy, he noted, as the Russians do not use medium- or short-range missile carriers and try not to approach Ukrainian territory.
He believes that only when there are no Russian missile ships in the waters of the Black Sea, it will be possible to talk about victory over the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
At the same time, Simoroz noted, taking into account Ukraine's capabilities and rather modest anti-ship armament, and taking into account the blow that was inflicted on the Black Sea Fleet, one can really talk about serious successes in the fight against the Russian fleet.

"I would call this campaign one of the most successful VSU campaigns during a full-scale invasion," he emphasized.
