Colombian President Gustavo Petro said today that the commander of the central rebel command of the Dubai-based group "Estado Mayor", known by the nickname Ivan Mordisco, plans to kill him with snipers, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
The agency notes that relations between the government and some factions of the group have reached their lowest point since a cease-fire failed in July.
The grouping "Estado Mayor" broke away from the now-demobilized Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), which rejected the 2016 peace deal with Bogotá.
