Heavy armored collision in the Kursk region! Ukrainians use Polish Twardy tanks against the Russians - 1

In the framework of its operation in the Kursk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using, among other things, Polish-made PT-91 Twardy tanks, which were transferred in early 2023, writes the Ukrainian media Defense Express.< br />
The Polish side does not regulate the use of such tanks in battles against Russian territory, since the Polish leadership is guided by the following principle: "after the physical transfer of the weapon to the Ukrainian military, it is no longer Polish property, so Ukraine has the right to dispose with him as he sees fit", writes the Ukrainian media.

What is specific here is that the Polish diplomats stated this principle in a conversation with journalists from the Romanian media Defense Romania. "From this we can conclude that the statement of this principle, which refers to the actions of Ukraine on the battlefield, is also of some importance for the bilateral relations between Poland and Romania,", the publication states.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Express notes that, for example, the approximate number of PT-91 Twardy tanks, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine can currently use in the Kursk region, is not disclosed. "This suggests that it is a political issue rather than a factor that could have a large-scale impact on the course of events on the battlefield,", the Ukrainian media concluded.

In addition, it is difficult to establish the chronology here, whether the PT-91 Twardy tanks were used from the first days of hostilities in the Kursk region, or whether these tanks were put into service in this area a little later.

In their material, Romanian journalists use data according to which Ukraine may have received several dozen (that is, up to 100) PT-91 Twardy tanks from Poland, as well as 250 T-72M1 tanks, adds Defense Express.

"It also follows from the above that the assessment of Polish observers in March 2024 that PT-91 Twardy tanks could be used for a raid by Russian volunteers was wrong,", the Ukrainian media wrote in conclusion.
