Russian Tu-160 strategic bombers flew over the Barents Sea and The Norwegian Sea as part of a major naval exercise, reports "Reuters" and RIA Novosti.
The Ministry of Defense specifies that the flights are part of the "Ocean 2024" exercise, which Russia launched a day earlier.
It is about the most large-scale exercises since Soviet times. They will involve more than 90,000 troops, more than 400 vessels and 125 aircraft and will last until September 16 in a vast area that includes parts of the Pacific and Arctic oceans, as well as the Mediterranean, Baltic and Caspian seas.
