An Israeli border police officer was stabbed in the Old City of Jerusalem, Reuters reported, citing BTA.
According to the police, it is a terrorist attack.
The attack took place near the Damascus Gate and the official was assisted at the scene by paramedics, reported the "Jerusalem Post". Although his injury was minor, the 20-year-old police officer was taken to hospital, the newspaper added.
"The terrorist who tried to escape into the Old City was neutralized by other border police officers,” said a law enforcement spokesman.
