Serbia is one step closer to introducing compulsory military service, reported the Serbian state TV RTS, BNR reported.
At an extraordinary meeting of the Serbian government, attended by President Aleksandar Vucic, a conclusion was adopted to establish the relevant working group. It will have to review the activities and measures aimed at introducing the obligation of military service.
Under current proposals, mandatory military service for men in Serbia would be 75 days. For women, it will be voluntary and will be held under the same conditions.
